Georgia on my mind
And in continuing evidence that we at maupuia calling are right there at the leading edge of the zeitgeist, this just in from the International Herald Tribune - “Quirky serifs aside, Georgia fonts win on Web“.
I’ve always liked Georgia, but have nearly always used Verdana. But I’m a tad bored with Verdana. And I’ve found I LOVE Georgia at larger fonts sizes. It would be rather nice to use it in a client’s website. One day!

I’m still a little scared of serif type faces. I do agree that they work best in large chunky sizes. I’m still completely addicted to the sans serif types. There are a lot of really good ones that one can use on the web with quite good results. It’s amazing how the same type face can have a totally different impact at different sizes. I’ve always been keen on large Trebuche…now I’m prefering it smaller.
Josef-Muller Brockmann is my most favorite of designers. He totally 0wns Helvetica! :)

Look at the NY Times website. I really like it. Reasonable amount of whitespace and nice big Georgia font. I like it!
What other sans serif font have you used? I’ve quite like Trebuchet for headings.
